Sex and the City

Based on author Candace Bushnell's book of the same name, Sarah-Jessica Parker stars as Carrie Bradshaw, a New York City journalist whose observations on romance and passion appear in a weekly newspaper column called "Sex and the City".

Finding source material for her writing is no problem. All she has to do is look at her own romantic misadventures or meet up with her three closest girlfriends for brunch to chat about what the latest men in their lives are doing to drive them crazy.

There's foxy Samantha Jones, a PR guru who's racked up a fair few notches on her bedpost; soppy Charlotte York, whose romantic perfectionism often prevents her from meeting "Mr Right" and cynical Miranda Hobbes, a high-powered corporate lawyer who remains guarded about her emotions when it comes to men.

Through their ups and downs in (and out of) the bedroom, these four friends remain each other's true soul mates, bound together by their desire to find love, but making sure they have a lot of fun along the way.
